Mr Liu focuses on consultation in the area of trademarks, domain name and anti-unfair competition law.

Mr Liu is ranked on the top tier of the intellectual property experts in China, and is by acknowledged as an expert in his field and a leading trademark professional by the WTR 1000 of World Trademark Review in the category of trademark strategy and prosecution, enforcement and litigation. Mr Liu has provided advice for the implementation of brand strategies for many luxury labels and consultation for owner trademark portfolio management for enterprises of all sizes, including the world top 500.

Work Experience

Mr Liu is one of the founding partner of Yuanhe & Twelve Tables. Mr Liu has previously worked at the CCPIT Patent and Trademark Law Office as the vice-director of the Trademark Department and used to work in the firm's New York Office for many years. Mr Liu graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University for his Bachelor of Art in English, and from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York for his L.L.M. in the intellectual property law.

Mr Liu is appointed as Guest Professor of Beijing Foreign Studies University Law School and mentor for graduate students, Adjunct Professor of the J.M. School of China University of Political Science and Law, member of the Expert Committee of Protection and Promotion of China Time-honored Brands of the Ministry of Commerce of P.R.C. Mr Liu has published dozens of articles on the subject of intellectual property in both Chinese and international publications.
